Background

This election failed to reach quorum, and is being posted again for a week long voting period, to begin Monday, March 16th.

CCC COMMITTEE STRUCTURE

The Coordinated Campaign Committee shall consist of 10 voting members drawn from the affiliated state parties and caucuses. The National Committee shall elect 5 members of the CCC and replacements for recently opened vacancies with an online election to be held each year. Nominations will be called for by the Secretary of the GPUS each year two weeks after Election Day. A two week nominating period shall be opened, followed by one week of discussion and an on line STV vote using the GPUS voting page and following the procedures and protocols the GPUS uses to elect the Steering Committee. The 5 people elected each year via the regular election shall serve two year terms while those elected or selected to fill vacancies will serve out the term of the member they are replacing. In between annual December elections for the CCC the GPUS Steering Committee shall appoint Greens to fill vacancies.

Due to the time and work needed for the National Committee to migrate to a new communications platform during a holiday season, the Steering Committee decided to push the CCC election schedule back to later in January of 2026. Members elected to the CCC will serve terms running through December of 2027.

Candidate Information

Michael Cooper, Indiana Green Party
I am Michael Cooper and I am seeking reappointment to the CCC for another two year term. Residing in Northwest Indiana just feet away from the Indiana Dunes National Park along the southern shores of Lake Michigan I am a local advocate pushing for the protection of our wetlands from development, the transition for the industrial legacy to restoration of our lakeshore and for the sustainability for our diverse communities in what we call The Region. I bring to the CCC the experience of running for office two and a half times in my city and the experience of supporting many other Green Party candidates in Indiana - which has the worst ballot access laws in the nation. Currently I am a member of our local Green Party organization as well as serving as the Treasurer for the Indiana Green Party.
