Background

This election failed to reach quorum, and is being posted again for a week long voting period, to begin Monday, March 16th.

The National Committee approved the creation of the Green Congressional Campaign Committee GCCC in a vote that ended on March 7, 2024. https://secure.gpus.org/cgi-bin/vote/propdetail?pid=1185

The GCCC shall consist of Greens elected to federal office, along with up to seven more members to serve two-year terms. Elections are to be held in odd-numbered years. Due to the National Committee's focus on migrating to a new communications platform during a holiday season, this election was moved back to give the National Committee and GCCC candidates a chance to become oriented to the new communications system. The terms for these positions will be considered to fill out the term that would end in November/December 2027.

There are two candidates currently seeking election to this committee. Special elections may be held to fill more seats, as there may be interest.

Candidate Information

Eric LaRue, Nevada Green Party
Eric LaRue has served as the Nevada Green Party co-chair since 2025, as well as having served on the Ballot Access Committee as a candidate liaison and the Accreditation Committee.

Prior to joining the Green Party, he volunteered for Robert Reich’s campaign for governor of Massachusetts in 2002 and for Dennis Kucinich’s campaign for President in 2004.

Eric is honored to have been invited to volunteer for the Green Congressional Campaign Committee and is committed to seeing Green members of both houses of Congress pass working class legislation at the federal level that their counterparts in the Republican and Democratic Parties will not.
