Background

According to GPUS Rules and Procedures, 7. Preference Voting Rules for SC Elections (adopted 6/19/06 in Proposal #222 - Resolution to Amend the Rules and Procedures on Steering Committee Elections Policy), the National Committee needs to elect up to 5 NC delegates for an Elections Tabulation Committee to tabulate the SC election. At this time, there are 3 nominees/volunteers. If more nominees/volunteers appear during this vote's discussion period, they may be added to the candidate list up to 48 hours before the voting period begins. The option of No Other Candidate (NOC) will be added 48 hours before the voting period begins.

Members of this ETC will serve to review the Special Election for Steering Committee Co-chair. The time frame for the ETC has bee expedited, so as to have an ETC in place by the close of the Steering Committee election.
