Background

As part of its copy-editing process the Platform Committee received the suggestions listed below for
Platform edits which, in the judgment of the committee, do not represent substantive or policy changes,
merely new language that conforms with an already-existing consensus in the Green Party. They should
not, therefore, require individual votes by the NC in order to be incorporated. What they do achieve is
making the Platform clearer and/or more up to date. We therefore present an omnibus motion to
approve them as a package. If any NC member requests a division of this motion, with

Our Green values oblige us to stand against oppression, against settler colonialism and against the
International crime of apartheid.
e. We reject the grossly unbalanced financial and military support of Israel by the U.S. while Israel
occupies Palestinian lands, maintains and grows settler colonialism, expands an illegal apartheid
system, and perpetuates violent military governance against non-Jews throughout the region.

world’s citizens to migrate for better opportunities. We must address all people’s humanitarian needs as

"goods," taxing unearned income at the same rate as earned income, taxing speculation on Wall Street,
and cutting corporate tax giveaways.
