Background

PROPOSAL
In January, the GPUS Web Administrator asked the Coordinated Campaign Committee (CCC) for suggestions on updating the “We Stand” page on gp.org, which had not been updated in six years. CCC took a look at the current page and agreed that it was definitely in need of updating to reflect Green Party and Green Party candidate positions on the issues that are top-of-mind in 2024 U.S. political discourse.

CCC asked the Candidate Community to offer initial guidance in this effort by brainstorming for possible items for the “We Stand” page. Following this brainstorming, we now ask state parties to weigh in via this proposal.

This National Committee vote will be advisory. It does not compel action from any GPUS staff member or staff office. Nor does it compel any candidate to make changes to their individual messaging.

Exploring a broad internal consensus on key issues can enhance our party's appeal and effectiveness. The insights of our candidates and state parties may provide valuable perspectives and contribute to a more informed decision-making process.

Our collective deliberation in this advisory straw poll may yield surprising and helpful insights and consensus.”
