Background

Proposal #223, Creation of National Green Party House and Senatorial campaign committees, was adopted by the GPUS National Committee on 6/19/06. Green Senate Campaign Committee and Green House Campaign Committee bylaws were adopted as part of Proposal 346: http://gp.org/cgi-bin/vote/propdetail?pid=346

Calls for nominations were announced in December, 2009, with the nominating period extended through January, 2010. This proposal hereby presents the candidates that have been nominated for a one-week review and discussion, followed by a one-week ranked choice vote.

Each candidate may submit a 250-word statement to the GNC making the case for electing her or him to the committee.

Preferred qualifications: Candidates should have previous experience in working on federal campaigns and on working on GPUS committees.

This election is to fill all nine seats on the Green House Campaign Committee, per GHCC bylaws. The following candidate has been nominated:

Carol Wolman (CA)

Carol Wolman was a candidate for US House in 2008 and had very good numbers. She has a strong interest in promoting House races Nationally and has brought forth some great ideas to our committees. She has expressed an interest in serving on the House Campaign Committee and I support this.
