Candidate Information

Gary Frazier
Gary C. Frazier Jr. 42 is an activist and organizer from Camden, NJ. In 2016, he was the East Coast Coordinator/Director for Black Men for Bernie during the Presidential Democratic Party Primary. Gary had 3 National appearances on CNN in which he warned the Democrats about their open engagement in racial divide, bigotry and voter suppression and failure to allow for an open contested primary that resulted in Senator Bernie Sanders as The Presidential Democratic Nominee would render huge repercussions to the Democratic Party in nominating Secretary Hillary Clinton. Senator Sanders would go on to endorse Clinton but the revolution that he started Would not fall in line, causing an explosion of the Progressive Left and Millennials into the Green Party Which has seen its number base soar to more than 100,000 registered greens in California alone. As of December 2014, there were 1,302 registered Greens in New Jersey, with the highest registration numbers in Bergen, Monmouth, Middlesex, and Camden counties. In May 2016, the Green Party of New Jersey saw a spike in registration, registering as many new voters in the past two months as it had in the past four years https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_Party_of_New_Jersey . By the end of 2016, there were 3,252 voters registered as Green. In the 2016 Election, Green Party City Council Candidate Gary Frazier received 6% of the vote from Camden NJ and Green Congressional Candidates Raj Mailiah and Steve Welzer each received 0.7%. As of November 2017, ten New Jersey counties now have local affiliates recognized by the state party: Monmouth, Ocean, Atlantic, Gloucester, Essex, Camden, Bergen, Union, Mercer, and Morris/Sussex/Warren. The Green Party of New Jersey's 2017 gubernatorial candidate was Rev. Seth Kaper-Dale of Highland Park. Gary has planted his feet into growing the Green Party of New Jersey by diversifying the party with members from All Walks Of life and especially the New Jersey Green Party Black Caucus since the 2016 election in which he has held co-chair and serves now as the states Black Caucus Liaison, the County of Camden's Co VP as well as the Co-chair of the Green Party of NJ and Delegate to Green Party U.S. The state has also seen it's first host of black Women as a result of Gary's grassroots background hailing from a marginalized city like Camden NJ.
 Elected officials
In the 2017 election, Green Jessica Clayton of Brick was elected to the Brick Board of Education as a non-partisan candidate and as of today there are more than 6,700 plus registered Greens in the State of New Jersey.
Gary continues to diversify the Green Party working hand in hand with the Latinx Caucus whom both have a host of local candidates running for elected office in 2018, All whom joined the Green Party including Candidate Zellie Thomas a blm organizer currently seeking Newark's City Council @ large seat as well as Johnnie Lattner, also a Newark native and Traditional Community Schools Pioneer under the Journey for Justice Alliance headed by National Representative Jintu Brown vying for an elected school board position.
Below is a list of Gary's work up to and leading to his entrance into the Green Party
Here is Frazier's latest accomplishment in which he is currently suing the DNC, Hillary Clinton, and Donna Brasile. Frazier and Attorney Burkman have accused the DNC and Hillary Clinton of fraud, negligence, and violating their charter as a non-profit. Frazier contests that examining the servers will finally lead to answers in the Seth Rich murder case. Rich, a known Bernie Supporter, was working as a DNC data analyst at the time of his death. Theories suggest he was killed because he had been the 'leaker'

From WND October 24, 2017.
"Democrat teams with Republican to solve Seth Rich murder"
"A Bernie Sanders campaign organizer and longtime Democrat joined forces with a Republican lobbyist and attorney to file a federal lawsuit against Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee for the release of the hacked DNC server they claim will reveal key information in solving the murder of DNC staffer Seth Rich. Washington D.C.-based attorney Jack Burkman filed the suit on Tuesday in D.C. Superior Court along with the East Coast director of Black Men for Bernie, Gary Frazier. At a press conference in front of DNC headquarters, Burkman asserted the DNC server will irrefutably prove the Democratic 2016 primary was rigged against Sanders, resolve whether Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential race and provide the "key" to solving the Rich murder mystery. "In this case, we will finally, after a year and a half, get these servers. That, among other pieces of evidence, is probably the single most important piece of evidence in this case," he said. "That will shed light on the entire Seth Rich mystery - we will know whether he was the leaker, we will know whether the Russians were involved, we will know whether WikiLeaks was involved.""

From PR News Channel November 14, 2017.
"On Tuesday, Jack Burkman, lawyer/community activist and director of The Profile Project, amended a lawsuit filed late last month against Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee, to now include Donna Brazile, the former interim DNC chair, after she dropped two bombshells in her new book Hacks: The Inside Story of the Break-ins and Breakdowns That Put Donald Trump in the White House that speak directly to what happened to Seth Rich and the role the DNC allegedly played to ensure Hillary Clinton won the primary over Bernie Sanders.
Jack Burkman, who established the independent The Profiling Project to discover the truth about the unsolved murder, says by filing a lawsuit Ms. Brazile will be forced to say what she knows-under oath. "If this were a random murder like police have maintained, why did Ms. Brazile fear for her own life," says Burkman. He says Brazile can clearly also offer critical information about what role the DNC Hillary Clinton's primary win. The lawsuit filed today in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, will compel former DNC chair Donna Brazile to tell what she knows about the murder and explain why she feared for her own life."

Gary Frazier Sues The DNC

In October 2017, Gary & attorney Jack Burkman filed federal suit against Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee, seeking release of the hacked DNC server that they believe will prove the 2016 primary was rigged against Bernie Sanders and solve the mysterious circumstances surrounding the murder of DNC staffer Seth Rich.

EAST COAST CORDINATOR GARY FRAZIER FILES SUIT
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sy-KgXwPwp0 (Holly Seeliger's Zoon Politikon)
A Bernie Sanders campaign organizer and Green Party Member has filed a lawsuit today accusing the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and Hillary Clinton of fraud and seeking access to their servers - a move that his lawyer believes will solve the murder of DNC staff member Seth Rich. Gary Frazier, an organizer with Black Men for Bernie and DNC contributor, claims that the DNC and Clinton committed fraud, negligence, and violated their charter as a non-profit, political organization during the 2016 presidential primary. He also accuses the DNC of being negligent with his personal and financial information and making it vulnerable to hackers. On June 14, 2016, the DNC database was compromised by Russian government hackers, security sources told the Washington Post. A Kremlin spokesman ruled out Russian involvement but day later, solo, anonymous hacker 'Guccifer 2.0' took credit for hacking the DNC database, saying it was 'very easy' on his website.

The Revolution Continues for Gary Frazier as he parts ways with Black men for Bernie

Responding to Sanders' recent admission that he would most likely vote for Clinton, Frazier stated that "Bernie can do what he wants to do. [But] real change has to come."
Frazier added that the momentum the group has gained so far educating voters - Black and white - should not go to waste because Sanders doesn't win. Instead, he said, it should be used to spark more change.
"How do you turn folks away?" he said. "[And] why would we turn back to something that keeps us in the same condition?"
Frazier used the issue of mass incarceration, which overwhelmingly affects Black families, as an example of an issue that worsens, despite who is in political leadership.
"These guys that come home from the [correctional] institutions - they don't have anything and you wonder why we have high crime rates," he argued. "This is about raising the bar about issues that continue to get covered up. Our conditions don't change."

Ignored by Mainstream News
Gary C. Frazier Jr. and Rodolfo Munoz Faced Discrimination by Police and a Federal Marshal at GNC, and No One Noticed. Lookup coverage of the 2016 Green Party National Convention in Houston, TX, and you'll find an assortment of summaries from news outlets otherwise too busy with Drumpf and Clinton scandal to dive into the Convention's substance, and highlights on the Convention's more famous appearances like Dr. Cornel West, controversial Wikileaks founder Julian Assange, and, of course, presidential nominee Jill Stein. You may even find one or two Op Ed's critiquing the Convention's lack of budget and control over message but these are usually written by people who think unwealthy, uncensored democracy is just gross, apparently. Try and find news accounts covering how, not one, but two Green Party candidates faced harassment from authorities and you'll run into an odd corner of the internet resembling a virtual desert town; tumbleweeds, rolling stale information to a couple of subject houses that are somewhat related to your search. This is unacceptable. Had the following series of events happened to delegates at the DNC or Democratic candidates, it would have made a headline.

OUR PEOPLE, OUR PLANET OVER PROFIT!

Dee Murphy
Let us never compromise our four pillars of Grassroots Democracy, Social and Equal Opportunity, Ecological Wisdom and Non- Violence!
Hello fellow Greens! My name is Deanna Murphy (Dee for short). I have been in the party only a short time due to experiencing and overcoming serious real-life struggles which affect the lives of millions of people not just within the U.S., but also in the world at large. I appreciate those who have been developing and building this amazing global platform during times when people such as myself were not in a position to participate in the political process, and want to extend my debt of gratitude to those that have so diligently worked towards building the Green Party in the United States for so many years. Never have I been so involved in any political movement, mostly due to a prevalent sense of the feeling that things could not be changed structurally in our society and that those in power would "do what they want to do". I now understand that this is not, in fact, a reality and that the amazing structure of decentralization within the Green party empowers people that have not previously felt as if they had a voice to be able to work towards deep, lasting societal change through participation on all levels- from volunteering for smaller roles when needed to running for office when permitted to do so on their local levels. I am hoping that through our work together on the Steering Committee, more voices of those who are disenfranchised will be encouraged to participate and will see that it's okay to try to step up to the plate, even if it's by joining a caucus on the national level when their local areas are not open or accessible to them due to authoritarian control structures which discourage democratic participation and involvement. It's not me, it's us- one of the slogans that originally drew people like myself to this platform, and which I will advocate for at every turn.
I am grateful to have been offered the opportunity to offer lifelong learned skills in helping contribute to the stated aims of the Green Party platform. Since first attending a Green Party outreach event in my state in June of 2016, some of the contributions that I have made locally are:
 1) Participation in my local congressional district Green Party. Accepted the offer to call and email a large database of people in my local congressional district (not a huge response rate, but continue trying by setting up a facebook page called St. Cloud Greens and managing a facebook page by the name of 6th Congressional CD Green Party, along with managing 4 facebook groups, 3 of which are geared towards the Green Party and one of which is geared towards people in general in progressive movements). Elected co-chair of MN CD 6 and was sent to the Minnesota State Coordinating Committee in September of 2016.
2) During my time on the state committee, I have introduced novel ways of coordination and streamlined publicly accessible technology venues in order to improve our capacity to reach more of our members. For instance, when I first joined the committee, members such as myself that lived in remote locations simply missed meetings when physically unable to attend them. The introduction of Skype enabled members such as myself and others in remote areas to be able to participate in meetings and assist our state meetings towards making quorum necessary to discuss proposals and vote on them. (Sometimes it is used by those who are in the area, but cannot physically make it to the meetings due to illness or other extenuating factors). I also suggested and implemented free coordination software, such as signups.com, to enable scheduling of volunteers for events such as the State Fair last year. After calling previous volunteers on a list of 30 or so people, was able to enter their email addresses and phone numbers into the list for easy self-management of scheduling (open shifts were easily viewable and people could cancel or reschedule their shifts on viewing openings). I encouraged our communications committee to further bolster signups by including the links to where people could sign up on our facebook page, from which we were able to get several new volunteers, a few of whom still volunteer with us. I personally filled in four days of state fair tabling, completing grueling shifts from morning until night on the days when there were gaps in the schedule or cancellations due to wanting to ensure that we were not penalized for not having people at the tables during our allotted times at the fair.
3) Created a call hub list for each of our last round of candidates, uploading their information and personally utilizing this system to call 236 people after growing tired of manually dialing over 100 people in varying districts to generate excitement and support for our candidates. To further bolster support, I organized a phone banking party- something that I brought over from canvassing for Bernie Sanders prior to coming to to the Green Party. This was also advertised on our facebook page, and had a very nice turnout of volunteers, despite challenges associated with internet access in the building we rent space from.
4) Tabled at events such as the Liberty Tree Foundation and volunteered to facilitate one of the sessions there when no other member of the committee would volunteer.
5) Requested and was granted a table at our annual Saint Cloud Pride event in 2016 to canvass for Dr. Jill Stein and recruit new membership to my CD. 12 people signed up, all were called and from this list of people came a young couple who happened to be transgender, one of whom became the president of the SCSU Greens group that I formed on our college campus prior to graduating in December of 2016.
6) Initiated the concept of and developed an outreach event for our community called "Spring Cleaning, Changing the Political Landscape in America" in March of 2017, working with our then campus Vice President on every level of development and implementation. Our VP scheduled the meeting room and assisted with coordinating food and campus funding, while I planned the itinerary and panel, communicated with participants, requested funds from the CC which assisted with transportation reimbursement for those coming in from out of town and payment for the event to be recorded for future viewing from people who could not be physically in attendance. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFdIpUd966s
Our state elected me as a delegate to the GPUS Nati0nal Committee in June of 2017. While have only been active on the NC for seven months, I have been relatively successful in navigating state duties along with participating in national discussions and joining the National Green Party Black Caucus, the Women's Caucus, and the Lavender Caucus. The Black Caucus has appointed me to the Eco-Action committee about two months ago, and am getting to know the other members, our mutual aims and interests, and in what can be done to assist this very critical committee in taking a larger part of the Ecological Wisdom aspect of our 4 pillars through organizing and doing what we can to reflect a stronger Green Party presence in this arena. I have ideas on how this can be done, and these discussions will be taking place soon within the committee. The Women's Caucus has appointed me to the Accreditation committee a couple of months ago as well, and am familiarizing myself with the accreditation process through participation and observation of communications with current applicants to this process. The Lavender Caucus has invited me to working groups focused on current projects within the caucus within the past week or so, and am happily anticipating contributing what I can in whatever capacity to the groups.
I would like the opportunity to be able to continue this pattern of service as a co-chair of the Steering Committee, who's mission and purpose is to perform the administrative functions of the Green Party of the United States.
One of the things that attracts me the most to applying for this position is the transparency of the decision-making process. As a person whose life experiences brought an unusual amount of challenges prior to getting to a starting ground where I could begin to contribute towards efforts for societal change, I will always struggle for the underdog, voices not heard, and listen to those who are willing to dialogue on critical issues that affect the people who depend on us to carry out this mission. I love that all calls are recorded, and am open to suggestions and discussions from NC delegates that have concerns or questions about any of the positions I take as a member of the SC, so long as they are offered in the same respectful manner that we all would like to be addressed in. It's not me, it's us. While there are 9 SC positions being held at any given point in time, our job is to serve the membership, and not to promote any ideologies that are not in line with the Green party platform or it's values.
I will say, for the record that I do not support the "one big party movement". Looking at the success of the Green Party Platform in other parts of the world, I know that we can do it here as well, with enough determination and working together towards this platform on all levels. The four pillars and ten key values are golden, as written, and as are being followed in other countries, which we originally adopted this platform from in the US. It is an honor, as a Women's Caucus member, to have joined the Global Women's Green Caucus in coordinating efforts to be able to communicate, compare notes, and ultimately convey what we are about as a party, with people and candidates that can be trusted to deliver on this throughout the world.
For this, we need to be able to work together, and while many states are experiencing challenges with members joining up who are saying "you would be so great if only.... you did this better or different" we should be open to ideas and contributions, but ultimately we are the Green Party of the United States, with each of us working to implement the four pillars and ten key values that is being followed by Green Party members all over the planet. While some states are struggling with attempts to change this value system in their frustration at the current administrations that are in place -and I have seen this even on a local level- my communications have been mostly Green to Green, and no one has ever seen me speak out against this party on any public social media platform. It is critical that we work on our infrastructure and move forward towards implementing our values, and public social media attacks on our party do nothing to facilitate this. I have personally experienced loss of membership due to some of the articles and posts that have been written, and for us to succeed as a party, people working against our party and platform should be encouraged to amend this approach so that we can all move forward, united, with our brothers and sisters across the globe working to make the world a better place utilizing Green Party values and the Green Party movement. It's not me, it's us.

It is a special honor to accept the nomination by my delegation and by my state party for Steering Committee co-chair. Although it is not a GPUS requirement to receive state party endorsement to run for Steering Committee, as co-chair of the North Carolina Green Party, it was imperative that my state members and fellow officers agree to run me for Steering Committee before I accept my nomination.

Why? Because it is critical that in order to make the most well-informed decisions towards building a grassroots national party such as ours, our Steering Committee members must have experience in building their state party and organizing at the state and local levels. In a system so overwhelmingly dominated by the influence of corporate power, building a state party must a protracted grassroots struggle. There are no shortcuts. No one is going to hand us all the tools or magically lead us to bigger victories. However, if we can successfully organize ourselves as a national federation of parties and caucuses in true solidarity, if we can assist our state parties in taking on the work of bringing the best of our already fantastic national platform to The People, and if we can clearly define to The People where we stand and that we stand with their struggles, then together we can and we will change the course of American politics.

Organizer Experience and Entry into Green Party:

My name is Tony Ndege, (the ending of my last name sounds a lot like reggae). I am a public school educator and I'm heading back into the IT field. I also have professional experience in music, film production, and directing. I have degrees from UNC Greensboro and North Carolina School of the Arts conservatory. My experience as an activist/organizer began when I was a high school student over two decades ago.

I have organized from the local to national level for social justice, labor justice, the rights of immigrants and the undocumented, against war and military intervention, against the US embargo on Cuba, and against water contamination from coal ash and pollution. I have been a lead organizer for a wide range of major movements and events locally and nationally: from NC #BlackLivesMatter to Occupy Wall Street, from the largest-ever protests against Duke Energy (one of the largest polluters in the nation) and uplifting the demand to make energy publicly owned, to protesting Bank of America and Wells Fargo’s criminal malfeasance, to the largest statewide and national actions against the second Iraq War. I have led or co-organized several hundred events including rallies, marches, teach-ins, debates, films, concerts, speaker tours, campaigns, immigration defense, political theater, etc. Professionally and artistically I have organized, assisted with, and performed in hundreds of events including auditions, interviews, concerts, plays, short films, operas, etc. I am happy to discuss any of these experiences further during the discussion period or via email or phone call. My experience with the Green Party began as an Occupy Wall Street activist and co-organizer of the DNC protests in Charlotte in 2012, where I first met Jill Stein. Subsequently, I participated in the Global Climate Convergence as a lead organizer for two events in my state. In 2015, in cooperation with Bruce Dixon and the North Carolina GP leadership, I co-organized a four-city cross-state tour for Jill Stein. I eventually became the North Carolina Ballot Access Coordinator and later the State Volunteer Coordinator for the Stein/Baraka campaign. Later, I had the honor to serve as Mid-Atlantic regional coordinator for the Stein/Baraka campaign, where I had the opportunity to meet and collaborate with thousands of Greens and supporters across the region. During my time as Regional Coordinator, I got to see firsthand what were the strengths, weaknesses, and obstacles various states had in building and executing statewide and national campaigns. Subsequently in 2016, I was elected co-chair of the NC Green Party. I also serve on the GPUS Ballot Access Committee as the southeast regional coordinator, and I am a member of the Black Caucus.

My Goals:

1. Some of the goals I hope to accomplish as a Steering Committee member are as follows:

2. Help lead the GPUS towards serious discussion about party organization and set concrete attainable goals from these discussions.

3. Institute a clear and realistic plan going into 2019 to “campaign” key aspects of our platform in tandem with a national – and visible – ballot access drive. We will help states, even those without major local campaigns, to emphasize the full scope of their platform as though they are campaigning, well before 2020. We will mobilize our members and supporters to achieve ballot access as early as possible in 2018 and 2019. From this organizing work, we will identify both state and metropolitan/regional coordinators well before the 2020 presidential campaign.

4. Improve the clarity of our platform while strongly communicating to the public the necessity to build independent party power. We can do this, in part, by dramatically increasing Green “citizen-journalism” and media training to produce high-quality media pieces that are short and easy to digest. In particular, we need to report not only about elections, but also from regions that are at the center of political struggle, areas where capitalism has most egregiously failed our society, and events that highlight the parts of our platform that resonate the most with everyday people.

5. Orient more of our party focus towards people who are disenfranchised and typically disengaged from politics, who are understandably frustrated with the political system, and towards people who are less likely to be swayed by the fear machine of “lesser-evilism.”

6. Increase true national solidarity and outreach as a party, particularly in the areas of ballot access support and fundraising.

Achievements with North Carolina Green Party

As co-chair of the North Carolina Green Party, while I never feel that my work is complete, I have helped to co-lead our state towards several key accomplishments that I hope serve as proof of my dedication to the party and my work ethic.

Historic Ballot Access Victory for North Carolina:

In North Carolina, one of our greatest accomplishments was our historic election results for Stein/Baraka as write-in candidates – we earned almost 13,000 write-in votes, the highest number of write-in votes for a candidate in North Carolina history! We accomplished this in a “swing state,” despite a great deal of misinformation about whether votes would count (including false information broadcast on North Carolina Public Radio that write-in votes for Stein/Baraka would not count). We accomplished this success via meetings with supporters in every major city, and thanks to fantastic volunteer organization and personal motivation of so many of our supporters! Our write-in campaign results were a major factor in passing legislation in fall 2017 that dramatically lowers our ballot access signature requirements from over 94,000 to about 12,000 signatures – and the new law also contains a provision that would give us an automatic ballot line based upon our national party’s ballot access during the previous presidential election. Based upon these new laws, and with the help of a grant from the GPUS, the North Carolina GP expects to have ballot access for the first time ever – the first progressive or left party to achieve North Carolina ballot access in over 35 years!

Other NCGP accomplishments during my short time as co-chair:

· NCGP has grown from one functioning local to four, on the cusp of five region-wide locals. We plan on adding another region or two and adding several chapters within each region over the next 1 to 2 years.

· NCGP has successfully restructured our state party into a dues-paying organization while significantly increasing membership.

· NCGP has successfully added critical updates to our bylaws and platform with overwhelming consensus.

· NCGP has forged new alliances with grassroots organizations, including an organization that has founded multiple worker cooperatives.

· NCGP has co-organized several events, such as helping coordinate a statewide tour of Dr. Margaret Flowers and a presentation by Ajamu Baraka before our Spring Gathering.

· NCGP has begun to run campaigns around several key issues, such as Energy Democracy, Universal Healthcare, Marijuana Legalization/Drug Decriminalization, and Mass Incarceration, and the demand for a major study of true unemployment figures for our state.

· My local, Triad Area Greens, worked on its first electoral campaign – for CJ Brinson for city council – where I served as a fundraiser and assistant campaign coordinator and other Triad members served as treasurer and event hosts. CJ lost the primary by a handful of votes to establishment Democrats. He had a great showing for a first-time independent candidate and missed a recount challenge to the incumbent candidate by only one vote.

In my experience, actions speak much louder than words. I hope that my achievements, which required the cooperation and leader-full action of so many wonderful people in my state party, speak for themselves. I have been organizing a long time, rarely for pay or title, and my motto is that I never ask of anyone anything that I am not willing to do myself. However, it is also essential to trust, foster, and elevate the many talents and abilities of others in areas where I know they can do as well or better than I can. While I sometimes may have strong opinions, my extensive collaborative experience demonstrates that I am always willing to work with others and do what is best for our party, our people, and our planet. I am looking forward to collaborating with all of you!
