Proposal

Amend Chapter III, Ecological Sustainability, Section M, Biological Diversity by adding a new point 12

Proposed Changes:
12. Heavily finance additional plant conservation and research into methods/technologies outside of ex situ conservation (i.e. seed banking) to meet the demands of the Global Strategy for Plant Conservation, specifically target 8, which is “practically unattainable” for about 40% of critically endangered plant species which are going extinct at 1,000-10,000x the background rate. It is imperative that we conserve what biodiversity we can during the ongoing sixth mass extinction.
