Tommie James has provided the following statement and resume for consideration:

I have been selected by the North Carolina Green Party to represent our state party on the GPUS Finance Committee. I would be honored to be elected by the National Committee to serve in this capacity and promise, if elected, to serve fairly and respectfully for the good of our federation.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

NEWTON & ASSOCIATES,INC (NAI), Charlotte— Airport Analyst/ Consultant
1994 - 2002
I started as an analyst at NAI after leaving graduate studies at Winthrop University. My duties included economic and demographic research, billing and document preparation. After less than two years I became involved in airport concessions development which included preparation of Request for Proposals, proposal analysis and contract drafting. I regularly worked with airport administration, other consultants and concession company representatives. My successes soon led to a promotion to Consultant.

As a consultant, I continued working with our airport clients in concessions development and also headed Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Benefit Cost Analysis for airport infrastructure projects.

FAA Benefit Cost Analysis requires a pro forma evaluation of projected revenues versus projected costs in order to assess the financial and operational benefits of the infrastructure project. The Federal Aviation Administration requires this analysis before it will approve federal funding of priority airport infrastructure projects. Identified benefits were not only financial but operational which included how the infrastructure project benefited passengers and/or air traffic and the local economy. I worked regularly with the FAA, airport staff and other consultants.
