Background

The Unified Green Party of Georgia (UGPGA) began corresponding with members of GPUS leadership in early 2024, with their application for membership being forwarded to the Accreditation Committee at the beginning of May 2024. In accordance with GPUS rules, the accreditation process started then.

After several weeks of discussion and several questions between the committee, the committee found that UGPGA met accreditation requirements and recommended accreditation of the party with GPUS.

Proposal

Based on the recommendation of the GPUS Accreditation Committee, the Unified Green Party of Georgia shall become an accredited state Green Party and join as a member state party of the Green Party of the United States.

Pursuant to Article I, Section IV of the GPUS Rules and Procedures, the Green National Committee hereby extends formal accreditation to the Unified Green Party of Georgia, including all rights, responsibilities, and privileges delineated under GPUS Bylaws and Rules and Procedures.
