Background

The Steering Committee proposes that the Green Party of the United States (GPUS) sign on as an endorser of National Single Payer's (NSP) May 31st “National Day of Action.” National Single Payer is a grassroots organization registered as a 501(c)4 entity, which advocates for a single-payer healthcare system.

The NSP National Day of Action is scheduled for May 31, 2025. GPUS, along with state parties, is invited to endorse this event and encourage members to participate in the day of action. The National Committee is requested to vote on this endorsement.

To provide additional details, NSP will host a webinar on March 26, 2025, at 8 PM Eastern to discuss plans for the May 31st day of action. National Committee (NC) delegates are encouraged to attend.

GPUS calls for active participation in and promotion of the May 31st day of action to advocate for single-payer healthcare, a stance aligned with the party’s vision for comprehensive healthcare reform. State parties and members are urged to join this effort to amplify the push for a fair and equitable healthcare system.
