Background

As the GPUS has evolved, with name changes reflecting its
evolution, the bylaws, rules, policies, and procedures documents have been
left with references including organizational names, specifically ASGP
(Association of State Green Parties ) and USGP (United States Green Party)
that are no longer in use. This bylaw amendment would update all of the
references to Green Party of the United States/GPUS.

Proposal

Be it resolved that all official references to the Green Party of the United
States (GPUS) in its Bylaws, Rules, Policies, Procedures and other official
documents that have not been updated and currently read as: Association of
State Green Parties, ASGP, United States Green Party, USGP, or any other
archaic reference, be changed to read to read Green Party of the United
States or GPUS, which ever is more appropriate for the particular section.

Be it further resolved that, via this housekeeping resolution, the Secretary
of the GPUS be instructed to effectuate these written changes.
