Background

This will establish a policy to allow state Green Parties and
local chapters to use the GPUS Earthflower Logo.

Proposal

1. Explanation of Guidelines for Use
2. Application Form
3. Consent Agreement

Green Parties of the United States accredited at the state level and their
affiliated locals, as well as accredited caucuses, are authorized to use the
“Earthflower Logo” to
promote local campaigns and activities. If the group applying for use
of the Logo is not officially recognized by their state, then use must
be approved by their state. In the event that an accredited state party
does not exist, the application must be referred to the Accreditation
Committee of the GPUS for a recommendation to the Steering Committee that
may include a proposal to the National Committee.

States, locals or caucuses interested in using the GP Earthflower Logo must
agree to the following:

1. That the Logo will be used in a manner which reflects positively on
the Green Party of the United States, upholds the 10 Key Values and
helps build the Green Party.

2. That any Merchandise (T-shirts, Bumper Stickers, Buttons, etc.) using
the Earthflower Logo be intended to promote state or local Green parties
and not be in competition with merchandise sold by the GPUS (i.e.
T-shirts must say “Green Party of MI” not Green Party of the United
States or Green Party).

3. That the website www.gp.org appear on any promotional material or
merchandise that has the Earthflower Logo. States and locals may choose
to include their own web address.

4. The Merchandise Committee can recommend union, Green or otherwise
socially responsible manufacturers if requested by applicant.
Please fill out the attached application form which will be reviewed by
the Merchandise Committee.
