The final report of the Election Tabulation Committee for the 200 Steering Committee election has been posted and available for review at - under the title ETC Reports

According to GPUS bylaws (Proposal #222), following the Steering Committee election, there is a 14 day period in which the report can be challenged. Given no challenge, the NC is to approve (certify) the results.

Following the 2008 election, the 14 day challenge period was announced. The tabulation drew questions concerning the disposition of certain ballots cast by proxy. The ETC then re-tabulated the ballots, eliminating unnamed proxy ballots, and published the results. There was no change in the outcome of the SC election, and no further questions or challenge to the ETC report.

The SC election is therefore settled, with the exception of the remaining house-keeping measure of having the National Committee vote to certify it.

The GPUS National Committee hereby certifies the Election Tabulation Committee's report on the 2008 Steering Committee Election, and the election results.
