Background

Per the policy adopted in Proposal #266, Process for Resolution of Procedural Objections (adopted, 4/1/07), the Green National Committee is asked to vote on whether to uphold the Steering Committee's decision regarding the timing for sending the Bylaws, Rules Policies & Procedure Committee's Fiscal Policy proposal to the voting queue. The SC had decided to delay sending the proposal to the voting queue for two weeks to give the Finance Committee a chance to review the proposal and submit input for possible amendment. BRPP and objecting GNC delegates maintain the proposal should have been forwarded to the voting queue with no delay.

In this case, you are voting FOR or AGAINST the SC decision. A YES vote means that you agree with the SC decision to send the BRPP proposal to the voting queue on December 1st. A NO vote means you believe the proposal should be sent to the voting queue immediately.

Proposal

The Green National Committee shall sustain the decision of the Steering Committee, that the Fiscal Policy proposal (submitted by Bylaws, Rules, Policies & Procedures) shall be sent to the voting queue on December 1, 2008.
