Background

In accordance with our policy on procedural objections (Process for Resolution of Procedural Objections; proposal #266, adopted 4/1/07), the Green National Committee is asked to vote on whether to uphold the Steering Committee's decision to regarding the upcoming SC online election. The Steering Committee plan is to have the online votes remain un-seen until the end of the election, when the individual votes and results will be published. Those objecting would like the votes to remain visible throughout the duration of the online election. (Individual votes will be published with either option, along wth the results and tabulation.)

In this case, you are being asked to vote on whether you approve of the Steering Committee's decision. Vote YES if you agree with the SC to have individual votes for the upcoming online election published only at the end of the election. Vote NO if you disagree; i.e., if you wish to have individual votes visible as they are entered for the duration of the vote.

Proposal

The GPUS National Committee sustains (agrees with) the GPUS Steering Committee regarding the upcoming online SC election, to wait to publish the individual votes at the end of the election.

Resources

Your thoughtful consideration and vote on the procedural objection.
