Background

GPUS Finance Committee P&Ps state: "Membership on the Finance Committee will be, at a minimum, the GPUS Treasurer, the GPUS accountant, the designated Steering Committee member who is on the banking signatory card, and any Steering Committee members who choose to join. Any member of the National Committee may join with the voted approval of the National Committee. With the approval of their state Green Party and/or accredited caucus, persons who are Green Party members but not National Committee members, including members from states not organized as part of GPUS, may join if approved by the National Committee. Volunteers for the Finance Committee shall inform the Steering Committee of their interest, so that the Steering Committee may make a timely proposal for approval of the new members. Members may serve until they resign or are removed for cause."

The Green Party of New York State has approved member Hank Bardel for membership on the GPUS Finance Committee.

Hank's statement of purpose:

The reason that I would like to be on the Finance Committee of the GPUS
is that I would like to see how it is handling its finances and if I can
suggest any improvements to its operation if needed. I would like to see the
GPUS get the best benefits from its donations and other income, especially
in this age of economic uncertainty.

Background:

Hank's qualifications: He has an Associate in Applied Science in
Business Administration with courses taken in accounting. He was a past
treasurer for the Socialist Labor Party, New York City branch. He was on the
Auditing Committee that audited a former GPNYS treasurer after discrepancies
were found in that treasurer's reports. He is currently on the NYSGP Finance
Committee.

Proposal

Hank Bardel, duly vetted by the Green Party of New York State, is hereby approved as a new member of the GPUS Finance Committee.
