Background

In accordance with our rules and policy on procedural objections [Rules & Procedures, Section 6-10
http://www.gp.org/documents/rules.shtml#06 and Proposal #266 Process for Resolution of Procedural Objections http://gp.org/cgi-bin/vote/propdetail?pid=266], an appeal has been posted objecting the 2/3 approval threshold set for Proposal #568 Approval of Revised Rules, Policies and Procedures of the GPUS International Committee (IC P&P's).

The Green National Committee is asked to vote on whether to uphold the Steering Committee's decision to set an approval threshold of 2/3 for Proposal #568.

In this case, you are being asked to vote on whether you approve of the SC's decision on the approval threshold. Vote YES if you agree with the SC that the approval threshold should be 2/3. Vote NO if you disagree; i.e., if you believe that the approval threshold should be set at 50%+1.

Proposal

The GPUS National Committee sustains (agrees with) the GPUS Steering Committee in setting a 2/3 approval threshold for Proposal #568 (International Committee: Approval of Revised Rules, Policies and Procedures of the GPUS International Committee).
