Background

GPUS Fiscal Policy states:

Article III. FINANCE COMMITTEE

3-3.1 Membership shall include the Treasurer, Executive Director or equivalent leadership position, and other staff as determined by the Executive Director or equivalent, as well as the SC member designated as a signatory to the principal depository for the Party, and any other SC member who declares s/he wishes to participate during their term as a member of the SC. GPUS staff shall serve as non-voting members.

3-3.2 Any Green Party member nominated by their state party or caucus may be appointed to the Finance Committee upon approval by a majority vote of the NC. The term for members appointed according to this process shall be three years. Once nominated by their state party or caucus, prospective committee members shall provide a written declaration of their interest to the SC. Upon receipt of such a declaration and a bio, the SC shall place a proposal authorizing such appointment before the NC.declaration and a bio, the SC shall place a proposal authorizing such appointment before the NC.

The Green Party of Washington State has approved Jody Grage for membership on the GPUS Finance Committee.

JODY GRAGE - STATEMENT and BIO:
I am requesting approval by the GNC to remain on the Finance Committee. Although I intend to spend a fair amount of my time and energy within the Green Party of Washington State, I have background knowledge because of my long service on FinCom that should be useful to FinCom.
