In keeping with its Rules, Policies, and Procedures (R, P &P’s), the IC seeks NC approval of three GPUS delegates to the Global Green Network (GGN): Romi Elnagar (LA), John Rensenbrink (ME), and Bahram Zandi (VA), elected by the IC, March 2011.

Dear IC,

I am a native of Iran and have always been interested and active in
international events, politics and history and witnessed the Iranian revolution of
1979 that overthrew our dictator monarch. I came to the US for Ph.D.
studies and entered the US Green Party in 2000 (then ASGP) and joined
the International Committee soon after its inception.  At the National Committee I have been a
national delegate for states of MD and VA and at the International Committee.
I became an alternate delegate and then delegate to the Global Green Network
and very much like to continue serving in this position.  I have
participated in several International Committee and Global Greens workshops at different
Annual National Meetings of USGP throughout the years.

I have attended the following international conferences:

1. European Green Party Council meeting in Kiev, Ukraine, 2005
2. European Green Party Council meeting in Vienna, Austria, 2007
3. Global Green Congress, Sao Paolo, Brazil, 2008
4. World Social Forum, Belem, Brazil, 2009
5. Forum 2010, Santiago de Compostela, Spain. (At this UNESCO
sponsored conference it was declared to request that the "Human Rights
to Peace" be added to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.)

Languages: Besides my native Persian and English, I have training in
Russian, Spanish, German and French.

I have also managed the IC listserve and website.

Sincerely,
Bahram Zandi, Ph.D.

Proposal

The NC confirms GPUS delegate BAHRAM ZANDI (VA) to the Global Green Network (GGN), elected by the IC, March 2011.
