 Statement to the International Committee

I did hear Petra Kelly many years ago here in my city. . Some of us
got together after attending a 5-day seminar on transformation
given to activists from tri-state areas of Pennsylvania, New Jersey
and Delaware as we were required to reach out to the local
communities to bring in changes for a progressive society. These
events initiated me and some of us attended the seminar to help to
establish the Greens here in Philadelphia nearly a quarter of a
century ago. I did try to establish a Green group in Sri Lanka and in
Haiti on my visit.

I do have a masters degree in public administration. Currently I am
the chair of the Green Party of Philadelphia, treasurer of the Green
Party of Pennsylvania, and member of the National Committee. I have
been a member of the International Committee for more than a decade.

I am a member of 20 other organizations inside and out side the
country. Also I work with the United Nations. To mention one, about
two hundred of us joined together from different parts of the world
formed a group and approached the United Nations to liberate East
Timor from the invasion of Indonesia. Our smart and systematic
approach helped and the country is free now. I visited East Timor
twice and the first trip was to conduct the Referendum, which was
successful. Now East Timor is a sovereign country and a member of the
United Nations.

So far I have visited 91 countries for various reasons and four
countries out of this, on Green Party mission.

Currently I am busy with the PhiladelphiaOccupy since the time it started.

I am experienced, dedicated and hard working in the line that Green
Party is going. Is it possible to break my pattern and life in the
party? Never. Never. Never. I am asking for your vote for me to
become better in serving the Party. Thanks. Vivek Ananthan GPPA
