 From Eliot Barron:
I am a Louisiana Delegate to the Nat'l Committee and, this past election cycle, was the only Green Party candidate for any race in that state.
Most interested in developing the party as the primary voice of opposition in politics, I have volunteered to serve and been approved by the executive committee of my state party as would-be member of the Finance Committee. National Committee approval is required.
As a new and enthusiastic member of FinCom, I would be well placed and prepared to be really efficient in 2016. Now is the time as the green wave builds strength!

Biographical details:
American born abroad, holding dual citizenship with US/ UK, raised in New Orleans by a Louisiana father and Maryland mother. With east coast roots, Barron studied in Oregon at Lewis and Clark College and earned his BA in German Studies (1997) following a JYA in Munich (95-96).
Serving in the regular army post graduation, Barron's pacifism was satisfied by his role as a medical specialist at a community hospital and that of medic in an infantry unit. Barron separated from the military as airborne ranger following a confrontation over legalization of marijuana - or rather lack thereof:  This was Seattle, Y2K.
WTO riots and Ralph Nader, Green Party candidate for POTUS sharpened Barron's political views and clarified independent positions and in 2012, Jill Stein's candidacy reawakened this interest.
Following the man made natural disaster of 2005, Barron had been engaged locally and was troubled to learn that the GP of LA was for all intents and purposes inactive.
Actively organizing and regrouping, Barron has been in attendance at the two most recent ANM's in Iowa and Minnesota and heard the call for interest in the nitty gritty.
At that time, Barron expressed interest in the financial committee - ways and means being crucial to everything. As a realtor, his experience with funding and finance and critical relationships among stakeholders is relevant.
  Thank you.
