I am humbly asking you to re-elect me to the post of FPVA representative. I admit to being very busy at the present trying to get our solar electric installation company on a stable footing. However, I expect major progress on this front this year.

I did take time off from solar work to go to the FPVA meeting in La Paz, Bolivia in 2013. There were three of us there from the GPUS and I think we did well in representing our party and working to become better acquainted with the representatives of the other Green Parties of the Americas. I sent an extensive report of that meeting at that time.

I have tried to participate in the Skype calls which occur on an irregular basis and give a report when I am on the call.

My personal and business schedule did not permit me to go the FPVA meeting in Lima. I was sorry to miss it.

I fully expect to be in a position where I can go the 2015 FPVA meeting although I don't know any details of where or when it will be.

I hope you appreciate the efforts I have made to keep the committee informed of the issues in the FPVA and I hope you will see fit to allow me to continue to be one of the representatives of the GPUS to the FPVA.

Note that since I can get along in Spanish, this helps a lot in working with others in the FPVA.

I should also note that I believe that the GPUS needs to pay more attention to maintaining and developing relations with other Green Parties of the world. We can both learn from each other and support each other and sometimes try to persuade each other of the correct political course. To this end I consider it a priority for the GPUS to pay the dues that it owes to the FPVA and to the Global Greens. I believe the GPUS is making a mistake in not putting a higher priority on this.

Solidarity,
Jack Ailey
