Background

The Accreditation Committee has completed its review of the Green Party
of Mississippi, and achieved consensus to recommend accreditation
for the GPMS. We are submitting this referral to you, for a vote by the
Coordinating Committee.

The GPMS website is located at
www.greenpartyms.org

The application packet is available hardcopy only and will be made
available by request. They do have complete bylaws, and agree to abide
by the bylaws, rules and procedures of GPUS.

The archive for the Accreditation Committee is located at
http://lists.gp-us.org/pipermail/accreditation/. This archive is
available to the public for review and comment.

The Green Party of Mississippi originally submitted their application
September of 2002. After addressing concerns related to their
decision-making process, bylaws, the Accreditation Committee agrees that
the Green Party of Mississippi will contribute greatly to the Green
Party of the United States.

Proposal

Based on the recommendation of the GPUS-Accreditation
Committee, we agree that the Green Party of Mississippi become an
accredited state Green Party and join the Green Party of the United
States.
